75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 8, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 8, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Thursday, April 8:

Cold and cloudy. CCB at farm all day. Jean here awhile looking at wholesale catalog. Up to Josie's again. Got new compact. Did dishes, washed sweater, took bath, to bed early.

Here is the long entry for Thursday, April 8:

Kinda cold & cloudy out. Mr. Browning out on the farm all day. I read & studied. Jean K. here awhile looking at wholesale catalog. Up to Josie's but she won't be able to get my suit finished. Bussy walked home. Dad & I home alone. Compact. Did dishes, washed sweater, took a bath & went to bed real early.

My comments: At least she got a Compact. Pretty exciting week, so far!  ;-)

Surprising how hard to find a photo image of a "compact." Guess this will work, even without the "powder puff" that should be there...

Families are Forever!  ;-)
