75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 4, 1937
This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.
Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.
Here is the short entry for Sunday, April 4:
Slept till 10:30. Washed & set my hair. Mom didn't feel very good. Washed kitchen W Work. [woodwork]. Hung curtains & cleaned the stove. Got supper, did dishes & cleaned up. Pete came at 8:00. "God's country & the Woman." Good. Home good time (Fred Georges).
Here is the long entry for Sunday, April 4:
Slept till 10:30. Only 12 hrs. Washed & set my hair & cleaned front room. Mom didn't feel very good. Washed part of W. Work. Hung curtains & cleaned stove. Got supper, did dishes & cleaned up. Pete came at 8:00. Went to see "God's Country & the Woman." It really was good! Got Dad a pkg. of cigarettes. [That sentence underlined, later] Home kinda medium time. Fred George
My comments: They spent time parked at Fred George's farm or nearby. She obviously knew Pete was coming Sunday night.
