75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 20, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 20, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Tuesday, April 20:

Keen rain last night & this morning. Vacummed {sic} the office. Helen & Jean here in pm. Went to Bk Nite with the folks. Griffin Girl - $100. Got Smoozies & went home.

Here is the long entry for Tuesday, April 20:

A keen rain last nite & this morning. Vacummed {sic} the store. Here alone nearly all day long. Made out wardrobe list. Helen & Jean here in afternoon. Bussy & I got Cracker Jax & drove Chevy home about 4:00. Got supper & came in after Dad. Fixed my hair a little. Did dishes & got ready for Bk Nite. A Griffin girl got $100. Up watching them bowl a while. Got Smoozies & went home.

My comments:  She doesn't make many spelling errors. Had to note this one {sic}.

Cracker Jax and Smoozies in the same day. Amazing.
