75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 22, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 22, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Thursday, April 22:

Windy. New Younker dress. Worked on Patterson estate. Wrote letters. Home with Dad. Ironed till 9:30. Cleaned up and went to bed.

Here is the long entry for Thursday, April 22:

Nice day but windy. New Younker dress. Worked steady all day on Patterson ancillary estate. Wrote Bud & Madonna after 5:00. Home with Dad. Got supper. Ironed till 9:30. Cleaned up & went to bed.

My comments:  Quiet day. Busy day.

Younker stores still going strong. Dress here from Younker online! [Interesting history] Lots of memories of the Des Moines store, in my youth!  ;-)
