75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 1, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 1, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Thursday, April 1:

[Squiggly circle around the April 1 - anniversary going with Pete] Grand day out. Bussy ate in town. Studied some. Walked home. Ate & did dishes early. Fixed skirt & black jacket. Cleaned up & went to bed about 8:00.

Here is the long entry for Thursday, April 1:

Had letter from & wrote to Sandy. Real swellest day out. Got jacket, didn't like it, sent it back. Typed some letters & made deposit. Bussy ate at the bank. Dad & I out home to dinner. Jean here awhile in pm. I did some of my business correspondence. Walked home. Got a ride with Fred Turner. Home at 5:00. Ate & did dishes real early. Fixed skirt & black jacket. Cleaned up, & Bussy & I went to bed about 8:00.

My comments: Didn't like the jacket she had ordered, so went home and "fixed" the one she had it appears!

Suppose it looked like this?
