75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 3, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 3, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Saturday, April 3:

Not cold but rainy. Forgot my key. Waited at Rex's, for CCB. [Rex was a barber with Clark Lee - next door south of Browning.] Typed most of the day. Took my suit to Josie's. [Josie Galloway made skirt & jacket for me from Dad's suit] Bro't Bussy to the show & I went skating. Bussy went home with Shawds so I went home alone. [note added on Shawds: Libby & Howard]

Here is the long entry for Saturday, April 3:

Not cold but real rainy. Forgot my key. Sat in at Rex's waiting for C.C.B. to come. Read part of morning. Typed most all afternoon. Took suit to Josie. Forgot papers! Was Dad mad! [The tree last underlined, later] Brought Bussy in to see show. I went skating. Bussy had gone home with Shawds, so I went home alone about 10:30.

My comments:
Haven't seen anything of Pete for several days.

Clark Lee now had barber shop. That is where I went for haircuts into my early teen's.

Families are Forever!  ;-)
