75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 14, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - April 14, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Wednesday, April 14:

Nice day. Typed on Jones case. Hurried around getting ready to skate. Skated nearly all the time with Bud Boots. Keen time. "You're Laughing At Me." "Rather Defiant Looking Lips."

Here is the long entry for Wednesday, April 14:

Another gal nice day. In to work early. Typed on Jones matter. Mo mail - am I sore at some peoples. Dad, Buzz & I home to dinner. Worked all afternoon, 'till after 5:00. Over at Lund's till 6:00. Really hurrying around getting ready to skate. Helped with supper, did separator & took a bath. Got there, then, before it started. Skated nearly all time with Bud Boots. Keen time. "You're laughing at me." "Trust in me." "Rather defiant looking lips."

My comments: She had way too much fun - "Keen time." - skating…  ;-)

I'm still not sure if they are roller skating or ice skating? What do you think?  ;-)

Families are Forever!  ;-)
