 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - June 9, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Wednesday, June 9:

Cleaned up plaster. Pete came in A.M. Wore slacks skating at nite. Had a good time. Bud didn't bother as usual. Helen there. Pete & Elmer came down. Pete & I riding out by Campbells.

Here is the long entry for Wednesday, June 9:

Cool again. Got up early. Got breakfast, wiped separatar (sic) & dishes before came to work. Cleaning up plaster mess. Pete here a little bit. I upset in chair while [followed by three full lines of shorthand notes… how to you spell 'horsing around?'] Worked all pm. Went home about 4:30. Met B. Boots coming from our place. Got slacks, washed my hair, played ball with Bussy & got ready to skate with Helen B. Really a lot of fun skating. B. Boots didn't bother so much as usual. With Patsy most of the time. Left early. Pete & Elmer came. Took Pete riding in the V-8. [Two lines of shorthand notes finish the page.]

My comments: I enjoyed reading this day…  ;-)
