75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - June 1, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - June 1, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Tuesday, June 1:

Bro't Ford in to work. Wrote letters in pm. Helen B. awhile. Talked about picnic. Regan & Turner. Ironed, & went to bed early.

Here is the long entry for Tuesday, June 1:

[Day of Tuesday, June 1, in diary has squiggles all around… another month anniversary with Pete.]

Got breakfast & ironed a shirt for Dad. He to wrk early. I brought in the Ford. Got out the mail & dusted. I out home to dinner. Read & wrote letters in pm. Helen Bower here awhile. Talking about picnic. Ada Regan vs. Mrs. Turner. [underlined, later] Went home at 5:00. Ironed, got supper, did dishes, cleaned up, and went to bed early.

My comments: Do you suppose they dreamed of a picnic like this?
