75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - June 20, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - June 20, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Sunday, June 20:

Up early. Really warm. Cleaned the house. Fried chicken. Pete & Ida there & we went on picnic down in pasture. Folks home at 2:00. All took shower. Pete & I to Carroll. Car balked so we came home.

Here is the long entry for Sunday, June 20:

Up early. Real warm. Cleaned upstairs & down & cleaned up. Fried chicken. Pete came as 12:00 & we went on picnic under big tree. Had a lot of fun. Folks came home about 2:00. Did chores, got ice cream. All of us took a shower. Pete & I went to Carroll. The car showed off so we didn't stay long. Got p.corn. Tried our jinx road again!

My comments: Interesting times. Enough said.  ;-)
