75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - June 26, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - June 26, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Saturday, June 26:

"Don't wake her now but work her like Hell when she gets up."
I did. Cleaned chickens. Made cookies. Leo to town at nite but I stayed home.

Here is the long entry for Saturday, June 26:

"Don't wake her now but work her like 'Hell' when she gets up."
and did I ever. Cleaned chickens & made cookies. Not so very hot. Leo went to town at nite & I went to bed as soon as Hit Parade was over.

My comments: Wow! Interesting diary notation…  ;-)

By the Way: This was her mother Dorothy's birthday. Notice not a mention. Birthdays and anniversaries hardly ever celebrated and few, if any holidays... always was that way!  ;-)

Families are Forever!  ;-)
