75 Years Ago Today - Eileen's Diary - Jan 16, 1939

75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
Jan 16, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Now we are beginning 1939 - the year I was born, on July 1 - Bring it on! ;-)

Here is the daily entry for Monday, Jan 16:

Up at 9:00. Did the separator. Took the washing in for Mom to do. Got groceries. Home for dinner. Pete up home in pm. Made rolls, scrubbed the floor, washed my hair. Ate supper & then Pete chores. In to town & got some more steak from Carr's. Up home & got the washing. Home at 9:00. Ate our oranges & went to bed.

My comments: "Ate our oranges…" Wonder where they came from? Seem to be special. Of course, in January, oranges are special…  ;-)

Families are Forever!  ;-)
