75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
Jan 15, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Now we are beginning 1939 - the year I was born, on July 1 - Bring it on! ;-)
Here is the daily entry for Sunday, Jan 15:
Birthday noted: Irene Smith
Pete up at 8:00. I at 10:00. Ironed a few things. Cleaned up and went up home. Over to LVene's after them. Their car was frozen. Irene's birthday scissors. Aunt Lena & Erma were there. Goose dinner. Home at 6:00. Late with the chores. Sat and talked as usual. Looked at the catalogs awhile and went to bed at 10:00.
My comments: This was Irene's 30th Birthday - certainly deserved a family Goose Dinner! ;-)
Irene Smith:
Families are Forever! ;-)
