HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.

Today begins 1939 - the year I was born, on July 1 - Bring it on! ;-)

Here is the daily entry for Sunday, Jan 1:

Up at 9:00. Late with the chores. In to the folk's for chicken dinner. Bussy to show in afternoon. The rest of us played checkers until 4:30. Home. Ate supper before we milked. Did dishes. Played solitaire, both of us, until 10:30. To bed.

My comments: Happy New Year! Played games all day with "family!" What fun! ;-)

Starting a new year as a married woman! My favorite year, for some reason...  ;-)

Families are Forever!  ;-)
