75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - August 8, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - August 8, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.
 [August 1, 1937, at Ledges]

Here is the short entry for Sunday, August 8:

Slept till 8:30. Hot. Ida here for dinner. Ironed. Donny, Neva & I to Spring Lake. Pete here when I got home. To "This is My Affair." Clock. Keen after we got started.

Here is the long entry for Sunday, August 8:

Slept till 8:30. Scrubbed upstairs & down. Really hot. Ida here for dinner. Ironed. Donny & Neva & I to Spring Lake. Am I awful! Pete here when I got home. Gave him his clock. To "This Is My Affair." Good. Cafe with Elmer & Helen. Closer to Hi Chair. Keen time after we got started.

My comments: Pete's birthday is Monday, August 9. She got him a clock for his birthday.

"This is My Affair" was a 1937 crime film starring Robert Taylor and Barbara Stanwyck.
