75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - August 30, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - August 30, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

 [August 1, 1937, at Ledges]

Here is the short entry for Monday, August 30:

Started staying at Mrs. Wever's. Nice place. She talks too much. To bed early.

Here is the long entry for Monday, August 30:

Started staying at Mrs. Wever's. Slept on the front porch all nite. It's a nice place but she talks too much. Too bed early.

My comments: Assume this is Mary E. Weaver, 79, in 1940 U.S. Census, Widowed, born in Illinois, lived in the same house at 319-1st Street in Coon Rapids, Iowa, in 1935 (per Ancestry.com image).
