Eileen's Diary
Feb 28, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Tuesday, Feb 28:
Up late. Did usual work. Really lots of snow. Roads blocked. No school. Made a 3 layer gold cake. Good. Had fried chicken for dinner. Read & played piano in p.m. Ate, Pete chores while I did dishes. Read awhile and then went to bed early.
My comment: A major blizzard for sure!
I seemed to focus in on the "3 layer gold cake!" Surprise!! ;-)
YUM!! ;-)
Families are Forever! ;-)
