75 Years Ago Today - Eileen's Diary - Feb 21, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Now we are beginning 1939 - the year I was born, on July 1 - Bring it on! ;-)
Here is the daily entry for Tuesday, Feb 21:
Pete didn't get up till 8:30. Me at 9:30. Really did work until Noon. Cleaned up a little, ate, Pete up home & to town.
D. Johnston, E. Williams, E. Jones, C. Thomas, Minnie Rippey, S. Gehrig, M. Parker, Vivian Rippey, R. Bolger here to practice Farm Bureau Chorus. Left at 5:30.
Had potato soup for supper. Did dishes while Pete milked. Called Mom about going to Carroll tomorrow. Read the paper & went to bed early.
My comment: Love to have heard this group sing!!
Pete milked every morning and night!! ;-)
Families are Forever! ;-)
