75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
April 8, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Saturday, April 8:
Up in good time. Took Pete up home. In to town. Had 3 permanent curls put in at Ted's.
Up home a minute. Pete sowing oats on the 80. Home to dinner. Did up work. Cleaned the houses. Made choc. cookies while Pete milked. Leo, Ida, Karen & folks came while we were eating. Took our baths. To bed at 10:45.
My comment:
Did she want her hair to look like this, perhaps?
Families are Forever! ;-)
