75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
April 26, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen
KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a
freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Wednesday, April 26:
Did up usual work. Went in to town. Ate dinner and went up to LVene's. Norma came for me. She & Gertrude on committee too for club luncheon. Planned our menus. Kinda chilly at nite. Pete & I out in field after the big sheep & her little lamb. Were going to the show but it got too late so we ate, took baths & went to bed.
My comments:
Big sheep and lamb… interesting… first mention of having sheep...
