75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
April 29, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Saturday, April 29:
Really a swell day. Did up usual work. Scrubbed bedroom floor before dinner. Ate, went in to town & Pete got his hair cut. Home at 1:30. Did dishes. Scrubbed dining room, kitchen. Made an angel food cake. Had another little lamb. Ate, took baths and went in to town. In front of Textor's Cafe. Jean K & Edith P. rode around with us a minute before we came home at 11:30.
My comments:
Another lamb! Saturday night on main street in Coon Rapids, Iowa!! Ladies were former high school classmates of Eileen.
