75 Years Ago Today - Eileen's Diary - May 13, 1939

75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
May 13, 1939

This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.

Here is the daily entry for Saturday, May 13:

Up at 6:30. Quite cool. Real nice day. Did usual work. Over & helped Pete measure corn ground on 80. In to town. Got 20 Wh. Leghorns. Mom & Buss home with me. Over to Norma's & got another hen to put with the 28. Got Pete, ate dinner, moved dining room stove in closet, cleaned up the house. Folks here for supper. Checked balance sheet. Folks left at 9:00. We took our baths and went to bed.

My comments:

"…stove in closet,…" ???

White Leghorn chicks...
