75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
May 10, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Wednesday, May 10:
Did usual work. Really a lot of dust in the air and quite cool. In to town a minute for groceries. Pete mad because we didn't have chicken and noodles for dinner. Did dishes & went up home. Took table over to LVene's. Waited for Pete. Didn't get back to LVene's until 4:00. Fixed the tables etc. Pete bro't chairs & we stayed up there for supper. Folks here when we got home. Finished the chores and went to bed.
My comments:
Mildly confusing day… except for the chicken and noodles… ;-)
Here you are, Dad! ;-)
Families are Forever! ;-)
