75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
Mar 30, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Thursday, Mar 30:
Did up the work & then went up home. Ate dinner & then Polly, Pete, Betty, LVene & I cut up meat & made 20 gal lard.
Home at 7:00. Real late with the chores. To bed at 10:00. To town in the morning before we went up home.
My comment: Quite a day. Cutting up the meat from the 2 hogs. 20 gal LARD… wow! ;-)
Families are Forever! ;-)
