75 Years Ago Today - Eileen's Diary - Mar 14, 1939

75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
Mar 14, 1939

This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.

Here is the daily entry for Tuesday,  Mar 14:

Pete up at 6:30. Me at 8:30.
Did usual work. Scrubbed kitchen & swept the dining room. Pete went up home and worked after dinner. LVene came & had her hair set. Verle & Julia on in to town. She stayed until 3:30. Pete came at 5:00. Chored. Really tired at nite. To bed early.

My comment: Julia was a lifelong friend… here is a small photo from the late 50s-early 60s.

And, here is a tribute I did a few years ago on her passing:

Families are Forever!  ;-)
