75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
Mar 3, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Friday, Mar 3:
Ethel Jones phoned & got me out of bed. Did up the usual work. Had fresh fish for dinner. Pop gave it to us. Did dishes took a bath & went in & practiced at Mrs. Wallingford's until 3:00 & then Pete and I went to Carroll. Got a corset & brassiere. Home at 5:30. Ate French toast. Did dishes while Pete milked. Cleaned out dresser drawer. Right to bed early.
My comment: Ah, Ethel Jones and Mrs. Wallingford in same place… verifies earlier information about a relationship, for sure, it seems.
Trying to keep a trim figure? Corset? Doesn't that look like fun!! ;-)
Families are Forever! ;-)
