75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - July 10, 1937

75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - July 10, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Saturday, July 10:

Made cakes. Getting picnic ready. Beets. Went to town at nite. Beat Leo home for a change. Bro't Bussy home & then with Pete.

Here is the long entry for Saturday, July 10:

Did up usual work & then I made some cake. Getting things ready for the picnic. Cleaned the whole downstairs. Picked & fixed beet pickles. Took a bath & went to town in V-8 at nite. Leo had the Chevy. Beat him home for a change.  Bussy to show. Bro't him home & then with Pete on old favorite.

My comments: Yum, pickled beets!  ;-)
