75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - July 23, 1937

75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - July 23, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Friday, July 23:

Up at 5:30.  Made cake. Wk at 8:00. Men making hay. Took bath, sewed. Louises here. Bed early. Leo & Ida swimming.

Here is the long entry for Friday, July 23:

Up at 5:30. Made chic. cake, got breakfast & was at work at 8:00. Really got a lot done. Chicken dinner. Men making hay. Did work up early, took a bath, sewed upstairs. Louises here. To bed early. Leo & Ida swimming again.

My comments: Louise and Rasmus visited. Their son Howard was helping with the hay making yesterday, so likely also today.

This photo is about 1943; Rasmus, Howard and Louise Nielsen (Louise is Dorothy's sister) on left side.
