75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - July 30, 1937

75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - July 30, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Friday, July 30:

Warm. Made out meter books & log sheets. Waited for Dad at the Bk. Ate, took shower, [bottom line not readable… see below]

Here is the long entry for Friday, July 30:

Terribly warm & sticky. Made out meter record book & copied log sheets. Off work at 5:00. Waited for Dad at the Bk. Laurence Morman asked how it felt to be smart. I think he should ask somebody else! Ate, exercised, took shower, wrote letters, & went to bed early.

My comments: New work words: "meter record books & log sheets" - always new things to learn.

Dance is on Saturday night, this week… ;-)

  1. I'm intrigued with the "exercised"... first time I've seen that...
