75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - July 25, 1937
This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.
Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.
Here is the short entry for Sunday, July 25:
Up late. Folks to Louises. Cleaned up. In Helen's car to Sprngbrk to Class Picnic. At Helen's. Boys came out there. "Shall We Dance." Came right home but took 2 hrs. to say goodnite.
Here is the long entry for Sunday, July 25:
Up late. Cleaned the upstrs before dinner. Mom cooked dinner & they all took it to Louises I here alone. Cleaned the whole downstairs & myself. Helen came after me. In her car to Springbrook to '36 class reunion. Good time. Playing tennis & eating water melon. Tom's car burned. At Bower's at 7:45. Pete & Elmer came out there. To Coon to see "Shall We Dance." Good! Came right home but it took us about 2 hrs. to say goodnite. Why do we have to at all?
My comments: Such a good question!!! ;-)
Released in 1937, "Shall We Dance" was the seventh of the ten Astaire-Rogers musical comedy films!
Families are Forever! ;-)
