Ate lunch in hall. Rehearsed awhile. Sang in pm. Made 20 points. Union got superior.
Down town awhile. Home at 6:00. Chored, ate, took folks car in. Home at 11:00. to bed
Reva George
E. Williams
G. Ford
Norma Williams
Ruth Bolger
Dora McLaughlin

My comment: They represented Union township in the competition, apparently. Superior rating sounds pretty good to me. She listed the others involved. Interesting activity. Too bad she didn't mention what song(s) they sang.

Found the neat old early Farm Bureau sign...

Here is the daily entry for Sunday, Mar 26:

Up in good time. To church at 9:30. Wayne Cooley preached. 31 there. 15 in our S.S. class.
Home to dinner. Folks here. They went down to Rasmuses in p.m. Pete and I read several magazine stories. Chored, late, made a cream pie, to bed early.

My comment: Good day. Interesting information.

This is Star Church, a few miles north of where they lived. They continued going there for many years. I was just a mile north of Pete's family's farm, of course.

An addition was added, later, but this is how it would have looked, at this time.

Really a keen day. Cleaned the house. Pete up home.
Bussy rode his bike out after dinner. Raked awhile. Bussy took a nap.
Made peach upside down cake. LVene had her hair set. Folks came out to supper.
Pete shaved and we bathed and went to bed.

My comment: Long bike ride for Buzzy. He obviously was worn out.

Peach upside down cake… made one lately? Yum!
