75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
June 12, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Monday, June 12:
Up late. Salesman came & kept Pete 'till 9:00. Pete over & bro't tractor here. He & Jr. plowing. Here to dinner. In pm. worked in the garden. In town at 4:00. Just ready to eat supper when folks came home from Leo's. They stayed and ate. Left at 10:00. Pete shaved & we went to bed.
My comments:
Found this photo, from Library of Congress, that shows what tractor and plow would have looked like. Field not as large, of course!! ;-)
Families are Forever! ;-)
