This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Sunday, June 4:
Slept till 7:00. Hurried with chores. Got ready for church. 17 in our class. Keen day. Home & ate, slept till 2:00. Pete out in garden. Did dishes. Went out and weeded the whole garden.
Folks stopped a minute on the way to Leo's. Chored, ate & went up home after soybeans. Home at 10:00.
My comments:
Dad needed soybean seeds to sow in the field the next day. Here are some soybeans...
