Here is the daily entry for Monday, March 28:
6 eggs
Up early. Did separator & went in to town to wash at 8:30. Pete to Smith's to dinner. Started raining about Noon. Pete here when I got home. Got washing & ironing all done. Got chores and work done in pretty good time. Took baths and went to bed.

The photo was a few years earlier, but the separator worked just like that when I was growing up in the 1940-50s... so I think it is pretty representative.
