75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - May 20, 1937

 75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - May 20, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Thursday, May 20:

Cloudy. Finished Indian suit. Took car home alone. Couldn't get the iron to work. Ate, did dishes & went to bed to 8:00.

Here is the long entry for Thursday, May 20:

Not so cold but kinda cloudy. Finished Bussy's Indian suit, got breakfast & came to work alone at about 9:00. Jean here awhile. Heard from Ray & Sandy. Bussy & I took the car home. I was going to iron [added later: Gas] but couldn't get it to work. Ate early, did the dishes, Dad to town, Buzz & I to bed at 8:00.

My comments: Indian suit? Wish I knew what that was for…

I wonder if her iron looked like this?
