75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - September 5, 1937

75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - September 5, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Sunday, September 5:

Out home in P.M. Rode around with Edith & Lenore till 5:00. Pete & I to "7th Heaven." Good.

Here is the long entry for Sunday, September 5:

Up kind of late. Mrs. Wever to S.S. & ch. I stayed home. Called Leo in pm. & he came after me. Folks at Louise's. Rode bike over to Lund's. Took car & rode with Lenore, Edith & Helen 'till 5:00. Came & ironed & cleaned up. Pete came at 8:00 & we went to the show "Seventh Heaven." Really grand.

My comments: "Seventh Heaven" was an American romantic drama film released in 1937 starring Simone Simon and James Stewart.
