75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - September 24, 1937

75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - September 24, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Friday, September 24:

Started on bills again. Typed them. Went to Ball game & dance at Carroll. Helen came home. Negro orchestra. Good time.

Here is the long entry for Friday, September 24:

At plant all day. Started making out the bills on the Typewriter. Home with Dad at nite. Washed my hair & got ready for the dance. Pete came before I was ready. Went to Ball game first. Carroll beat 13-6. Good game. Helen & Elmer there. To dance afterward. Mat Towle negro orchestra. Really good. Didn't get home till nearly 4:00.

My comments: Interesting dance… stayed very late!  ;-)
