75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - September 17, 1937

75 Years Ago - Eileen's Diary - September 17, 1937

This entry is the daily post on this blog from the diary of eighteen year old Eileen KINNICK, 75 Years Ago this date.

Since midway through 2010, a weekly update/comments blog entry began to appear on the Dr. Bill Tells Ancestor Stories blog. Those weekly entries, on that blog, on each Tuesday of the week, will continue, with links to these daily entries.

Here is the short entry for Friday, September 17:

Adding. Pete came & went to game at Guthrie. Had lunch at Textor's Cafe.

Here is the long entry for Friday, September 17:

Worked on adding machine all day. Out home for dinner. Helen Jensen fixed my hair at Jennies. Ate, took a bath & went up stairs & laid down. Pete came at 7:30. Left for game at Guthrie. They beat 14-0. Came to Coon & had lunch at Textor's Cafe.

My comments: Front page of the Coon Rapids Enterprise the following week with loss to Guthrie:
