75 Years Ago Today - Eileen's Diary - October 29, 1939

75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
October 29, 1939

This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK SMITH, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.

Here is the daily entry for Sunday, October 29:

Didn't get up until 9:00. Chored, got dinner. Ate late. Did dishes. Was giving Billy a bath when Jean & Bob came. Played bridge. Stayed for ice cream. Sat & talked until 7:30. Bro't Billy a big rattle. Pete chores late & we went to bed.

My comments:

Big Rattle - whoopee!!

Played Bridge… when did they ever do that???

Families are Forever!  ;-)
