75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
October 17, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK SMITH, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Tuesday, October 17:
Anniversary Note: Leo and Ida - 2 year [That, of course, means 2014 is 77 years!! Both still alive to celebrate! Congratulations!]
Pete working on corn crib. I washed with new machine. Were supposed to go in to folks for supper to the kids anniversary. Monument man came & we didn't get to go.
My comments:
Too bad they missed the supper. Neat to see them celebrating, a little, anyway!
Here is photo of them the year they got married: Leo and Ida...
Families are Forever! ;-)
