75 Years Ago Today
Eileen's Diary
October 2, 1939
This entry is a post from the diary of my mother, twenty year old Eileen KINNICK SMITH, 75 Years Ago this date. She kept a diary from 1932 as a freshman in high school until she left us, too early, in 1999.
Here is the daily entry for Monday, October 2:
Up at 6:30. Patched a shirt for Pete. He picked corn in morning & went to Bud's in p.m. I went in & washed & ironed. Used my new iron. Down town awhile. Home at 6:00. Jersey had a calf.
Chored, ate & went to bed.
My comments:
She has a new iron, for when electricity is turned on… ;-)
Here is an image of a Jersey cow with a new calf...
Families are Forever! ;-)
